News! Thursday, March 15, 2007! Outrageous New Fashion:
A new outrageous fashion is sweeping the nation and the international fashion scene: Live cat fur jackets. “Here is a way to wear a fur jacket and never have to worry about cruelly killing animals. Women just love them—they are really warm,” says clothing designer Brucey McChochow. “With my design I strive for a back to basic essential natural design, utilizing the natural cat colors. At the same time live cat fur jackets are the only attire I know of that actually generate heat as well as keep in heat. They are very suitable for cold climates that have excess cat populations.” Fashion conscious New York socialite Ernisteen Boonerstien says, “I always loved the look and feel of fur but I couldn't stand the thought of killing animals for a jacket. Using live cats strapped together to make a coat is a fantastic fashion statement. Also, my naturally heated live cat jacket is very warm even in the coldest weather.” Says Vogue magazine editor, Carmile Janderstrutz, “Live cat fur jackets are the fashion sensation of the season. They are practical and beautiful utilizing the natural fur softness and colors to make a bold assertion in your attire. But also live cat fur jackets are socially responsible in that we don't need to brutally kill and skin an animal in order to wear a fur jacket. Also, there is a big nationwide problem with cat overpopulation. What a genius way to make use of abandoned stray cats.” “With the original designs we had some problems keeping the cats in place,” says designer Brucey McChochow. “But we worked that out with an elaborate system of straps and harnesses to keep the cats secure. In fact, there is whole cottage industry of cat jacket straps developing. Another great feature of these jackets is that they are self cleaning.”
But not everyone likes these jackets. Inod Gooborstrum from the clothing division of PETA said, “These jackets are an outrage! This is like commuting a death sentence to chaining someone to a wall. Is not being chained up still utterly cruel? We demand that these jackets be made illegal.” “As for the people who say live cat fur jackets are cruel--I
just don't understand what they are talking about,” said Ernisteen
Boonerstien, who proudly sported her new calico kitten jacket. “Do
they think we should kill the cats or some other animals and then wear
their dead skins? Also, since a live animal fur coat generates heat
you would need to kill a lot more cats to make a comparably warm dead
cat fur jacket. And when I wear my jacket the cats are not always squirming.
Sometimes they actually purr and even go to sleep.” Beatrice Jooblekrats is a fashion conscious environmentalist who sees her new live cat fur jacket as stylish and good for the earth, “These cat jackets are like having an electric blanket-- but they are 100% natural and don't use any petroleum or global green house gases to heat up. Also the jackets are made with 100% natural fibers. That is really nice as we're surrounded by so many synthetic materials these days.”
Hillary Calcrutinzine, was attired in a mixed color live cat fur jacket and had red watering eyes and was sneezing, “I am actually allergic to cats. But this jacket is just so beautiful, fashionable and warm. Besides, I just love the environmental positives of a live cat fur jacket. Also, I like that I am doing something to help alleviate the cat overpopulation problem in our streets and alleyways.” Only Meltingclocktimes.com is on the forefront of reporting about
people who are actually doing something in response to cat overpopulation.
