Frank Sinatra Touring Incognito As A Singer With Punk Rock Band

Sinatra & the Flaming Balls, the new rat pack
Punk Rocker Sinatra with the Flaming Balls--the new rat pack?

Like Elvis Presley, Meltingclocktimes.com discovered that Frank Sinatra faked his death to escape the pressures of fame and the relentless fan mobs. (Click to read the original ground breaking article.) But what has Frankie been doing since fans and Meltingclocktimes.com discovered he was hanging out with Elvis Presley at the Graceland Mansion? Unlike Elvis, Sinatra missed performing. Meltingclocktimes investigators have learned that Frank Sinatra has teamed up with the punk band, The Flaming Balls and is now on tour with them. The band is perfect for what Sinatra wanted according to a secret source. They are excellent musicians but not famous enough to get huge crowds--a big plus for Sinatra who wants to avoid the limelight. Also, Sinatra has been wanting for years to branch off into other types of music. So hence, a great match-- Frank Sinatra and The Flaming Balls.

The band is currently on a west coast tour and is getting good reviews from the critics. According to the only Flaming Balls band member we could get a hold of, drummer Jack Spitacid, “Sinatra, a smoker and drinker, likes the small dingy punk rock clubs. Most of the audiences on the tour think Sinatra is some old guy who looks familiar. Very few people, including the critics, figure out that it is Frank Sinatra they are seeing. Most people would just never guess that Sinatra would venture into punk. But the Chairman is not letting on or giving this new audience any hints. He likes that he is being appreciated for his musical talent in a new field and not just for his name.”

Sinatra fans who have seen him are giving mixed reviews. “That punk music is not my cup of tea,” said long time Sinatra fan 78 year old Elbert McCowski, “but if the great Sinatra is doing it I need to study it some more.”

76 year old Mildred Boserhev, who saw Sinatra in Seattle said, “I have been a huge Sinatra fan since the 40's. What a thrill it was to see him do this new type of music. I loved it. I just wish they would turn down the sound. And I wish the kids wouldn't do this slam dancing. You could get hurt, you know.”

It is unusual for a punk band to have a singer in his eighties. However Sinatra was always fit and looked good for his age. And since he is old, if he does forget lyrics in punk rock no one is going to notice anyway.

And don't forget, Sinatra's music is not new to Punk. The Sex Pistols covered, “My Way,” 25+ years ago!

Who knows where Sinatra will turn up next? If you see him and snap a picture click the email link above and send it to us. We will publish Sinatra sightings in the future.
